New scriptwriter for the OUTLANDER movie

I just saw this and wanted to pass it on: According to an article in today's Variety, the OUTLANDER movie has a new scriptwriter, Ann Peacock. Anybody know anything about her?

I started a thread on Compuserve about this, so please feel free to post there if you have comments or questions about the choice of Ann Peacock. I personally don't have any opinion about her, yet.

Thanks to Tracey from My Outlander Purgatory for the heads-up! <g>

I just googled her and found that she was a writer for Chronicles of Narnia. Not too shabby, eh?

Wasn't the first writer from Braveheart though? I think that would have been a better fit. Did she do the first Chronicles of Narnia and/or the second?

Diana has made comments to the effect that the script that Randall Wallace ("Braveheart") wrote was pretty awful. Presumably that's why they replaced him.

My understanding is that Ann Peacock only wrote the first Narnia movie, but I don't know any more than what's on her IMDB page.

I LOVE the Chronicles of Narnia and cannot wait for the new one to come out in December! I didn't know it was Ann Peacock who wrote it, though, so it is very exciting news, indeed. KC
