OUTLANDER on Kindle....FREE!

Diana Gabaldon's latest blog post mentions a special offer that Random House is running in honor of the 20th anniversary of OUTLANDER's publication.

The Kindle edition of OUTLANDER is now available on Amazon.com absolutely free!

I'm not sure how long this offer will last. If anybody knows for sure, please let me know and I'll update this post with that information.

This Kindle edition comes with "bonus content", which includes a reader's guide suitable for book-club discussions, and possibly other items as well. If you've seen this bonus material, please post here and let us know what it is, and whether you think it's worth reading.

I don't have a Kindle myself, but I just wanted to pass along the information in case you're interested. It sounds like a great opportunity for Kindle owners!

UPDATE 10/4/2010 6:26 am: Unfortunately, the Kindle offer is only valid in the U.S. But there is a similar free offer for OUTLANDER on the Sony e-reader.

it is only available for U.S. customers. Once again Canadians are excluded.

OH! I have the Kindle app on my iPhone and now I can carry Outlander with me all the time!

Thanks for keeping us updated on the good stuff!

Canadians, temporarily use an American address as your default Kindle Mailing address, and order off Amazon.com, not Amazon.ca then change your adress back after download.
AND...... I already have this on Kindle but it's very exciting to help convince freinds to get it and read it.

Hmm, but when I log in, it automatically recognises that I'm Canadian...

You can download (free) Kindle for PC and then download the book, so you'll have it if you decide later on to get a Kindle.
