Ron Moore's podcast of Episode 101

Ronald D. Moore, executive producer of the OUTLANDER TV series, has recorded a podcast with detailed commentary on Episode 101 ("Sassenach"). You can download it here. It's just over an hour long, like the episode itself, and definitely worth listening to!

You can listen to it in iTunes or on your favorite portable device, but it's best appreciated if you can watch the episode, with the sound turned down, while you listen to the podcast.

I thought it was really fascinating to hear all the behind-the-scenes details of how they filmed various parts of the show. If you enjoy listening to this sort of commentary on DVDs of other TV series (and I always do!), I'm sure you'll love this podcast.

Ron Moore has said he intends to do one of these for every episode, and I'm really looking forward to the next installment!

Where did you find the podcast?

In the first paragraph of the text above there is a sentence that says "download here". Just click on that and a new screne should appear. It really is nice to listen to the podcast while rewatching the episode with the sound turned down. Fun stuff.

Any idea if there's a feed we can subscribe to so we can get the next episode?

I was a huge fan of Ron's podcasts for BG, so I was thrilled to learn he was doing them for Outlander. Listening to Ron talk about the production while his dog barked in the background, ice tinkled in his glass of scotch, and the lighting and inhaling of his cigs whispered a quiet soundtrack ... just brings me more deeply and personally into the Outlander family in the same way Diana has for years with fans ... in a way that very much aligns with who Jamie and Claire are as people. Come sit at the table and bide awhile. Thanks for that, Ron. Looking forward to sharing some scotch with you next week. Give us a heads up on what you're drinking so we can be prepared to enjoy a dram as well.

Thank you for the information about the podcasts. I do have a question, are they only available on itunes? If not where else can they be viewed. I use Windows 8.1 and having a devil of a time trying to get it to work. Thank you.
