I wanted to see it all before deciding to buy it, but in light of Recent Revelations, I have pre-ordered it and can't wait to get my hands on it.Terrynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7379581147262228210.post-40521897423835855622010-09-19T05:21:46.449-04:002010-09-19T05:21:46.449-04:00Jo - I'm glad you found this helpful. :-)
Jay...Jo - I'm glad you found this helpful. :-)

Jay - I think it will take a little time for people to get used to this new format. You're right about audiobooks forcing you to slow down! It will be really interesting to see everyone's reactions. Can't wait!

KarenKaren Henryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07635855088490793965noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7379581147262228210.post-21454285752073079732010-09-18T14:24:13.447-04:002010-09-18T14:24:13.447-04:00I can understand your ambivalence, Karen. I wonder...I can understand your ambivalence, Karen. I wondered how the story would translate into a graphic novel format. Having seen some of the panels and the excerpt from the back of the Green Slime, I think it works. For me the story comes first and new storyline is a plus.

I picked up a couple of GNs in anticipation of Exile, since this is a genre that's new for me. The approach does need to be different. It's a different medium. Just as audiobooks force me to listen to the words at the reader's pace and often let me pick up on new things, I think that the graphics will enhance Diana's somewhat uncharacteristic ;-) brevity and help bring the scene to life. I'm looking forward to the new release.

Thanks for posting the interesting perspectives on graphic novels!Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02553432536463671162noreply@blogger.com
