I suppose because the clan system meant surnames were rather irrelevant if the nakuru have the same one. Though it should really be the estate name rather than the house name. For example pumpkin, we in the uk didn't really know about these. I only heard about them from watching US TV shows. For info on Halloween we always carved out a turnip to hold a candle, which to the rest of the UK is a Swede!<br /><br />The term doodle bug is also not used so the spider is probably more apt.<br /><br />There is a term which actually hasn't been changed and which should have been I reckon and that was when Jamie was bitten by the "dearfly". Had to look that one up..
