OUTLANDER in Concert!
Here's something completely different: OUTLANDER in Concert: Echoes Through the Highlands, a celebration of Bear McCreary's music from all eight seasons of the OUTLANDER TV series! It sounds like a real treat for OUTLANDER fans.
From the announcement in the Hollywood Reporter:
It will showcase a live ensemble of musicians and vocalists, including instruments such as bagpipes, fiddles and the hurdy-gurdy, alongside expansive cinematic visuals from the Outlander seasons. As of right now Edinburgh is the only location announced for this concert tour so far. If you're interested in attending, please note that it says:
Tickets for the May 30, 2026 event — kicking off a global tour with more cities to be revealed at a later date — will go on sale Nov. 21 at 10:00 a.m. U.K. time (2:00 a.m. PT) and are available here. Here's the trailer video.
The timing of this first concert (May 30, 2026) is surely intentional, coming soon after the end of OUTLANDER's final season, and very close to World OUTLANDER Day on June 1. For those of you who haven't heard, OUTLANDER Season 8 will premiere on March 6, which means the final episode will air around mid-May. This concert will take place just a couple of weeks later, while fans are still digesting the series finale. The timing seems perfect, to take advantage of that rush of publicity and interest among the fans, as the show finally comes to an end.
It makes sense that they'd wait until then, so that they can use the soundtrack and visuals from Season 8 as part of the concert, to celebrate the music of all eight seasons!
