OUTLANDER casting: Angus Mhor and Mrs. Fitz!

Two more cast members have just been announced for the OUTLANDER TV series, according to this TV Guide article.

http://www.tvguide.com/News/Outlander-Ron-Moore-Badland-Walters-1069734.aspx

Stephen Walters will play Angus Mhor, and Annette Badland will play Mrs. FitzGibbons.

Note that the article says, "Walters will play Angus Mhor, whose role in the books was much smaller, but will be expanded for the series."  It will be interesting to see how that develops.

I have no further details beyond what it says in the TV Guide article.  Anybody know anything about these two actors?

Annette Badland played a rather memorable villain on a few episodes of Doctor Who. I think she'll be great as Mrs. Fitz. I am not familiar with Stephen Walters.

I don't know anything about Stephen Walters either, but from the images I've seen of him online he's quite a slender build. Check out his tumblr page - http://www.tumblr.com/tagged/stephen-walters

Am I right in thinking that Angus Mhor is the giant who beats Jamie up when he stands in for Laoghaire?

If so then they truly are expanding his role in all sorts of ways. Will be interesting to see what they turn him into. I hope he doesn't end up being too much of a caricature.

Annette Badlands is a great actress and has been in lots of British TV shows. I was actually watching her in Dr Who last week and I think she'll be a great Mrs Fitz.

I've never heard of Stephen Walters but I have faith that he's a good actor. I'm a little worried about the change in character but I guess they know what they are doing.

I'mwonderingifthey are combining Angus with Rupert's character to try to cut down on the number of people on screen, a la the White Queen which omitted a very important member of Edward IV's court.
