WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART'S BLOOD is out in paperback!

Diana Gabaldon's WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART'S BLOOD (Book 8 in the OUTLANDER series) is now available in trade-paperback format -- that's the large size paperback -- in the US and Canada. Congratulations, Diana!

You can find it online here:

Amazon

Barnes & Noble

For those of you who haven't yet read it, WRITTEN IN MY OWN HEART'S BLOOD (aka MOHB or MOBY) is a terrific read, one of my favorites in the entire series, and highly recommended! For more information about this book, see my Book 8 FAQ here.

(Note to those of you outside the US: Some of you have had access to the paperback of MOHB for a long time, but this is the first time it's been available to US readers.)

Great news! Do you have any idea, though, when MOBY will be released in the regular-sized paperback? I have all of the other books in the regular size and would prefer the new one to match the rest of my collection (yes, I'm a bit OCD that way! LOL) Luckily, I'm only on Book 6, so I have time to wait, but I'd love to know when they'll release it in the smaller size!

strange that you have only now got the paperback. I bought my trade paperback on the release date (think it was june 1st 2014) Here in New Zealand.

Wow, Leeann, a whole year ahead of us, huh? Lucky! I wonder why we had to wait so long here in the States.

Do you have any news or idea when MOBY will be published as the Mass market edition in the states? :))

I am also wondering about mass market paperback. I have not read it yet and am dying to. I don't like hardcover and the rest of the series is in mass market size and I want my bookshelves to match.

I'm the same! I like them all in the same format so I can line them up nice and pretty on my book shelf!

I also am waiting on the mass market paperback edition! I have 1-7 in that format and I'm pretty OCD about it too. Any news on when that'll be????

Oh, good! So glad I'm not the only one who's OCD about it! I hope someone can tell us when it'll be released. I'm on book 7, so I'd really love to hear it's soon!

looks like no one is answering us, but I am the same way. I got excited when I saw paperback and ordered the paperback and it is trade size so now I have to return it. bummer.

Oh, you're smart! I guess I should've returned mine, too, but I wanted to make sure I have it when I'm ready to start it. I'll probably read the larger one, but I still want the smaller one to match all of the rest, so when it comes out, I'll order that one, too! Hopefully it'll be coming out soon...

I'm waiting for that edition as well. Though I'm not as patient as y'all it seems. I just finished book seven, so I went ahead and bought the trade edition. Looking at the other books publication dates, there seem to sometimes be years between the trade and mass market editions. I'll just buy it again when the mass market paperback finally appears :)

Don't blame you at all, Samantha! I got the big one, too. I'm down to the last 20 pages of Book 7 (SOOO good!!), so I'm really glad I did it, since I'd really hate to have to wait at all to start the next one! And like you, I'll buy the mass market one when it comes out, whenever that is.

I am going to reread 1-7 so I will have time but I am like the rest of you I want it now. I thought Barnes & Noble told me it would be like 6 months but it is already over 6 months. I have been all over the internet and cannot find out when it will be released in mass market size. finishing up the wheel of time series first so be another month before I start the outlander. I had stopped so I could read them closer together....like you said there is so much time between them. I may have to give up and go get the trade paperback again. and since there is not a projected finish on this series, I wonder how many books will be in it? I can't see the show as I don't have showtime.

Oh, Donna, I'm so sorry you haven't seen the show! It's incredible! Btw, it's on Starz, not Showtime. I know a lot of people just subscribed to Starz for the two months that the show airs, then canceled after it finished. Now they'll resubscribe in April, when Season 2 starts. What about buying the DVD? I think there's one out now with both parts of Season 1.

While the show isn't exactly like the books, the acting is absolutely phenomenal and I assure you, the joy of seeing DG's wonderful books--especially our beloved Jamie & Claire--brought to life so beautifully makes it well worth the price. I hope DG keeps writing this series forever. I hate to even think of it ending...

P.S. I read the Wheel of Time series, too! Another great series!
